Building my Online Biz with NO Social Media, Day 1

Day 1 of building my online business without social media.

As some of you know, I dislike regular social media platforms, such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Tik Tok. Short form, click-bait content that lacks quality thought and context are dumbing down society at an alarming rate (in my humble opinion). So, I've deleted all of the nonsense and am focusing just on creating content on platforms I like:

Today I focused on getting a few demonstration videos with voiceovers posted on YouTube Shorts and wrote out the instructions by hand and turned into blog posts, as well.

Without traditional social media, like Twitter and Instagram, I'll have to make sure to mention my website and Substack in comments, captions, and at the end of my videos on YouTube in order to funnel new people to my written work. I might eventually have to suck it up and pay for Facebook or google ads. It's probably good to learn that process anyway.

Other than that, I'm heavily relying on word of mouth from current readers and subscribers.

The journey continues tomorrow...
