November 22, 2025 Workout of the Day and More Pullup EMOM Talk

11/22/2025 Workout of the Day

Pull session

Ex 1: pullups-1 set of max reps, then 10 Minute EMOM x 3 reps every minute on the minute

Ex 2: single arm rows-3x8-10

Ex 3: incline dumbbell curls-3x6-10

Ex 4: incline hammer curls-3x8-12

Total Time = 36 minutes

I've been really enjoying these EMOMs for pullups.

Today I took a little different approach and did the first set for as many reps as possible with good technique, and then, essentially doing back off sets for 10 minutes Every Minute on the Minute style. So I did 1 set close to failure, then 10 minutes of 3 reps every minute on the minute.

I think I'll keep at the EMOMs for pullups for awhile. I'm really enjoying the high quality reps and the accumulation of volume in a dense period of time.

I got back from a big vacation in the Caribbean late last night. I was a little jet-lagged and worn down after travels and busy days in the sun, but I typically don't take time off from training on vacation. The training often is a little different than usual, but I still do some sort of resistance training more days than not (if not every day), no matter where I am.

On this trip, I stayed at a place that had a pretty standard, small commerical type gym on site. So my training didn't change at all besides the fact that I had slightly lighter weights to work with.

My biceps and forearms were screaming by the time I finished the incline dumbbell and incline hammer curls.

Now I'm off to walk the dogs and then I'll rest and recover for the rest of the afternoon and evening.

Back to work tomorrow.
