November 19, 2025 Workout of the Day

11/19/2025 workout of the day

Push session

Ex 1: single arm overhead press-3x8-12

Ex 2: single arm DB bench press-3x12-15

Ex 3: DB skull crushers-3x8-15 (rest pause as needed/if needed to get at least 8 reps)

Ex 4: lateral raise-4x15 (rest pause and partial reps as needed to get to 15 reps)

Total Time = 25 minutes

These vacation workouts have been pretty fast-paced.

The dumbbells in the resort gym are a little lighter than I usually use on most of the compound lifts so we're doing higher reps, lots of unilateral stuff (which is actually quite normal for me for both upper and lower body training), and keeping the rest periods short. Like 30-60 seconds of rest between sets short. Vince Gironda would be proud about that.

The short rest periods plus higher rep ranges make the slightly lighter weights feel challenging. It also allows me to not piddle about and miss out/hold anyone else from my group back from partaking in our desired vacation activities.

At any rate, I've been able to maintain my general training program and the slight adjustments have kept things fun.

Have a great day!

High Frequency, Low Volume Training WORKS

I say it in some way, shape, or form nearly every day. But here's another reminder that for me… High frequency training (5-6 days per week) + low volume (8-12 total  sets per session) + moderate to hi
