Reset Your Dopamine Levels with This Secret

The secret to resetting your dopamine levels:

Reading physical books and lifting weights.

Seriously.

You still get entertainment, but without the extreme dopamine spikes – which are then followed by extreme dopamine crashes – which can retrain your mind to using dopamine in a healthy way and distract you from wreckless addictions/habits that leave us mentally and physically exhausted, depressed, and hopeless (activities like scrolling social media, limitless TV options, drugs, porn, and alcohol are prime examples).

Activities that grant quick, instant gratification wreak havoc on our dopamine levels, and, in turn, our mental health.

The reason reading physical books and lifting weights are so effective for balanced, healthy dopamine levels is because they require delayed gratification, but, you STILL feel great after 30 minutes of reading or 30-60 minutes of lifting weights.

Of course, lifting weights and reading physical books aren't the only healthy habits to adopt to reset dopamine levels while improving mental (and physical) health.

Meditating, prayer, socializing with positive, uplifting people, going for walks, fishing, pretty much anything that gets you outside (in the sun is even better), and numerous other activities all work very well.

My challenge to all of you – and myself, of course – is to do more of these positive activities that effect our dopamine levels more slowly.

I hope you find this helpful.

Let's all seek improvement – in all areas of our lives – together, so we can positively impact the world around us.
