Push Day!


No need for a warm up today.


Ex 1: single arm kettlebell clean & press-2x5-8

Ex 2: EMOM pushups-10 sets x 6-12 reps every minute on the minute for 10 minutes

Ex 3: single arm cable pushdowns-3x6-10

Ex 4: single arm kettlebell or dumbbell upright rows-3x10-12


Total Time = 24 minutes, 38 seconds


It's been a good day. I've been a little lazier than usual, watching football and hanging out. Yet, when I unpack the day I still think it's been pretty productive.


As always – at least for the last 6 weeks or so – I started the day with my quick morning recharge (10 Hindu squats, 10 glute bridges, 10 frog crunches, and 10 pushups).


I worked this morning. Very briefly. I went to the gym early to train (a whopping) 1 client. Usually my Saturdays are pretty short days of work like that. Makeup sessions or spill over sessions for client's that I can't fit in the schedule Monday - Friday. Usually this adds up to 1-3 hours of work Saturday mornings. Occasionally I have Saturdays completely off.


Then, early in the afternoon, my wife and I went for a lovely 45 minute walk.


A couple hours later I went into the garage for this great Push session.


About an hour after that lifting session, I went for another – very brisk – walk with my dogs. My dogs like their walks f-a-s-t — FAST. 


Get up and move every day. Fall in love with exercise. Don't think exercise always has to be hardcore and exhausting though. Check the box and enjoy daily movement and consistent resistance training.
