Story Time!

I saw this post on Twitter about "exercises to lose fat around your lower belly."

I had an aneurysm.

When I recovered from the aneurysm, I looked at the post more.

The poster calls themselves, "fitnessDr."

I vomited.

The post went on to show a bunch of ridiculous looking exercises that would embarrass the likes of even Jane Fonda and that guy from the 80s that led all the aerobic step classes.

Not a single ab was worked, nor was a single bit of fat lost around the lower belly.

The fact this person had the audacity to even USE the phrase "lower belly" on some sort of public platform is beyond me.

Here's the link if you want to check it out for yourself, but viewers should be advised: https://x.com/FitnessDr_/status/1784983578641662318?t=wT_RgFSWrwnOR2vxa8AlJQ&s=09

With that, all I could think was to announce the following to anyone that cares to hear:

Holy mother of pearl this is ridiculous!

People: YOU CANNOT SPOT REDUCE FAT.

Build muscle by doing resistance exercises.

Lose Fat by creating a calorie deficit.

Resistance exercise for your abs + calorie deficit = fat loss and, eventually, better looking abs.

There's no magic exercises that will "snatch" your "tummy." And don't listen to adults who use baby words when speaking to other adults, while you're at it.

Have a great day.
