Backyard Gyms

I think the biggest perk for having some simple home gym equipment is the ability to train outside in the privacy of your yard during the more pleasant seasons of the year.

Where I live, the more pleasant seasons are spring, summer, and fall.

So for 3 quarters of the year I get to train – at least partially – outside.

There is something inexplicably special about getting a pump out in the sun with some basic equipment.

If you have a pair of adjustable dumbbells and/or some kettlebells, a place to do pullups, and a good understanding of how to make pushups a productive muscle building exercise, you have ALL you need for an incredible nomadic gym that you can take anywhere you want.

Not to mention the anabolic benefits you'll acquire from lifting weights with the sun on your skin and the songs of birds in your eardrums.
