The 30 Minute Physique Experiment Day 9

The 30 Minute Physique Experiment Day 9

08/17/2025 Training Log. Legs

Brutal day today. I spent most of the day doing:

interior painting

wiring new light fixtures

setting up a new bathroom vanity

sink

hooked up the new plumbing and faucets

cussed a lot (electrical and plumbing work sometimes has that effect on me).

participated in an unhealthy amount of self loathing.

I finished up all that stuff at 7:30pm. It would have been easy for me to phone in the training session, push it off for another day or 2, eat some food (I didn't eat much during the day), and go to sleep.

But I'm someone that walks the walk, and I've always said that a major benefit of 30ish minute training is that I never have an excuse to miss a session (assuming I have access to trailing equipment, which I almost always am).

So, I pushed off dinner, went out into the garage, and trained legs.

Sure, I was sore and a bit stiff from being in odd positions and tired from lawn and home remodeling work the last couple days. But I started doing Bulgarian split squats anyways, and wouldn't ya know it, once I got going I started feeling pretty good.

Ex 1: Bulgarian split squats-2x7/7

Ex 2: single leg RDL-2x11/11

Ex 3: 16 inch box step ups-2x12/12

Ex 4: offset kettlebell calf raise-15/15, 10/10

Total Time = 30 minutes.

Then, I ate a big dinner, went to sleep, and got up in the morning to train 10 clients back to back. I was glad I trained legs Sunday night.

Have a great day.

Don't push off training.
