Vacation Training Files: 10/26/2024 Training Log

Today's Workout

Pushup EMOM

11 sets, completed every minute on the minute.

20,20,10,10,5,5,5,5,5,10,5 = 100 total pushups in 11 minutes.

I started with higher reps than knocked out a bunch of lower rep sets to keep tempo and form a top priority.

I'm on vacation for a few days with friends and don't have much free time for personal workouts (although, I am tempted to go to some of the different Anytime Fitness locations around town, but, I don't want to be that guy that everyone's plans are on hold for because I gotta get a pump – haha. It's a short trip).

I trained a bit more than usual during the week in order to not stress about workouts and give my body a little bit of time to recover while on this trip. We're also being quite active, hiking, walking, paddle boarding, etc this weekend so it's not like I'm being a log.

Regardless, these quick, 10-15 minute calisthenic "workout snacks" are a great way to get some blood flow moving, stay active, and accomplish some decent – albeit minimal – strength and hypertrophy stimulus while on the road.

I'll be back to my proper hypertrophy training in 2-3 days' time.
