50 kettlebell swings per day challenge, day 2 of 30. 10x5 EMOM, Dead stop kettlebell swings with the 40kg (88LB) bell.
Dead stop swings are great for honing in technique, training power, and, because you're starting each rep from the floor, you get a sneaky good pump in the teres major – especially if you're using a fairly heavy load.
Some claim that dead stop swings work the quads a little more, as well. I'm not sure if there's a significant difference in quad activation, but I didn't hook myself up to any EMG equipment so what do I really know.
Quick and exciting 10 minutes of movement on a rest day.
Post workout consisted of chilling on the patio getting some sun, then hopping in the sauna for 20 minutes, cool shower, and back out on the patio reading my current Elvis Cole & Joe Pike novel (novel makes me sound so much more distinguished than simply saying, "book").
I'm just out here trying to live my best silver & golden era physical culturist lifestyle.
Let's have a great week of gains!
