Summer Shred day 7. PPL day 27. Legs

Warmup: single leg glute bridge; weighted crunch

Ex 1: Bulgarian split squats-2x6

Ex 2: single leg RDL (no support)-5/5; switched to B stance RDL-15/15

Ex 3: 1 kettlebell clean & squat-6/6, 5/5

Ex 4: calf raise-20/20

Total time = 35 minutes

I trained outside on the patio today. Beautiful day and lifted before it got hot.

I used my 2 new Eleiko 28 kilo (62 pound) kettlebells for all exercises today. The single leg RDLs were a little wobbly unsupported and with 124 pounds in my hands, so I switched to B stance RDLs to give myself some stability.

The clean & squats went like this:

Clean left hand, squat, hand to hand swing to switch bell to right hand, clean right hand, squat, hand to hand swing to get back to left hand. That's 1 rep. So each rep is 2 cleans, 2 hand to hand swings, and 2 squats. This means 6/6 was 12 squats, 12 cleans, and 12 hand to hand swings. It adds up to a lot of little reps and each set took over a minute to complete. I enjoyed it in a way only twisted minds can enjoy twisted things.
