Benen's Summer Shredding Update

I'm about 2/3rds of the way through my cut.

The goal is to last a full 10 weeks, which is when my next planned trip out of state is.

I'm about 6 weeks in right now and I'm consistently weighing in around 197-199 pounds. I always get squirrelly when I drop under 200 lbs.

I started my lifting journey at 18 years old and spry 140 pounds (while standing at 6'2).

15 years later, I'm still 6'2, but I've spent most of the last 10 years in the 200-220 pound range. Those of us that were always skinny have a real bug-a-boo about being skinny again. For me, that is anything under 200 (at my height).

But, I can say that this current cutting phase has been more productive, physically and emotionally, than any other cutting phase before.

Things are getting cool looking and I'm excited to see how it looks in 3-4 weeks.

I suspect I'll end up around 193-195 (I know – tiny).

I'm even more excited for the year of eating in a slight surplus that will follow, though.

I've shared my "end of bulk, beginning of cut" physique in late April. I'm looking forward to see the "end of cut" physique compared side by side with that picture in about a month.

But now, it's time for more coffee before my daily kettlebell swings.
