Garage Gym Chronicles: 11/28/2024 Training Log. Push Session
Happy Thanksgiving
I had a very fun push session today. Here's how it went:
Warmup: Indian club swings
Ex 1: single arm kettlebell military press-4x6/6
Ex 2: flat dumbbell bench press-10,5,6 (last rep of set 3 took literally 10 seconds. What a rep)
Ex 3: cable lateral raise-14/14, 12/12, 11/11
Ex 4: cable overhead extensions12, 10+2 cheat reps, 12
Total Time = 40 minutes
Afterwards, I took a 20kg/44lb kettlebell out on the back patio and did a 10 minute AMRAP complex. I'll share a separate video of that later.
Here's the complex:
1 half snatch + 1 clean & jerk left
Hand to hand swing to switch sides
1 half snatch + 1 clean & jerk right
Repeat for 3-5 sets per side per set.
I ended up doing 15 reps per lift per side, so 60 total reps.
I followed all of this up with 15 minutes in the sauna before feasting.
I'm glad I went light on these because my triceps and shoulders were absolutely FRIED. You can see the fatigue in the triceps on a couple reps. Fun stuff. This little complex dusted off anything that was left in the tank for the delts and triceps.
