Physical Culture on the Road

One of my favorite ways to maintain my fitness habit and live that physical culture lifestyle is to pack up 1-3 kettlebells when going on a road trip.

With a moderate sized kettlebell – or 3 – and a sliver of imagination, I can accomplish almost any training program and goal that I wish, without needing to worry about having space or time scheduled to find a gym (which often is very inconvenient, depending on the type of trip I'm on).

Further, if I'm with friends or family, I'm able to encourage others to participate in my physical culture lifestyle in a way that is fun and unique, without them needing to leave the comfort of wherever it is we're all staying.

Non-kettlebell lifters grossly miss out on this aspect of kettlebelling. The kettlebell is such an epic all-in-one nomadic gym and it has the ability to provide fun and friendships that last a lifetime. (Cringey plug intended for comedic relief).

The 10,000 Step Dilemma

Struggle to walk 10,000 steps per day? Break it up into multiple walks. 20 minutes here (morning). A few minutes every hour or 2.  20 minutes there (lunch time). 30-45 minutes before or after dinner.
