The Golden Era Way

The Golden Era bodybuilders truly knew the way to live life best.

Excluding the drug use, these guys had a habit of doing the following on training days:

Go to the gym, lift weights hard, but have fun doing it.

Then, immediately pop tops and go chill at the beach.

After that, they'd gather together for a big meal.

If this ain't living life in tranquility, I don't know what is.

When I have time, I do something similar.

I'll lift hard for 30-40 minutes.

Prepare my post workout meal (usually oatmeal, honey, peanut butter, fruit, and whey mixed together. Sometimes tuna sandwich with a side of fruit).

I'll take that meal outside and eat.

Then I'll stay outside and – this part is crazy – JUST RELAX.

It's the life.

During the winter months, I pop in the sauna for 20 minutes post workout.

For the record, even in the warmer weather I'm trying to sauna at least 3 days per week, but generally at night for 20 minutes, or first thing in the morning.

Have fun, lift hard, embrace the pump, and try living a little like a golden era bro.
