Fitness Should Be FUN

Your fitness journey will end prematurely if you don't adapt and have fun.

I used to live and breathe barbell training.

It began to hurt, suck up a considerable amount of time, and become unenjoyable.

There is nothing wrong with prioritizing the barbell in your training. I encourage most of my clients to spend some time under a barbell.

But, it became unenjoyable for me.

So I started lifting kettlebells and found them very enjoyable.

I always got good results and a solid bodybuilder's pump with traditional dumbbell exercises, so I leaned into that feel-good style of training.

I love the control and focus required in bodyweight training, so I incorporate pushup and pullup variations into my training.

I also love the time efficiency – relative to  barbell training – that comes along with training with kettlebells, dumbbells, and bodyweight. Space efficiency and the ability to take these pieces of equipment anywhere (outside, inside, on vacation, etc) is another bonus.

Therefore, the majority of my training is NOW centered around dumbbells, kettlebells, and bodyweight exercises.

I've adapted to make my training fun, which keeps me coming back to lift weights nearly daily.

Be sure you're enjoying your training because you'll be much more likely to succeed in your quest for your ideal physique!
